Ok, I'm a noob. I have the softmod with a evalutionX dashboard but not AID. I have all nine maps from Live on my hard-drive. How do I mod them? Thanks, and sorry for being sucha noob.

well- were not suposed to help out on the matter of Halo modding (im the halo mod guru here) but anywho- im going to talk to hobbs (our humble lord AKA Webmaster) if help on map modding (NOT WEPON MODDING) is ok'y since you cant really cheat with it.
But let me answer your question real quick. The new maps are able to be modde'd but it takes ALOT OF WORK!! Let me explain (Im going to assume you understand how to mod the original halo 2 maps)
The encryption for the new halo 2 maps is diff. Not only that but the maps are linked to LVL files to keep them from tampering- which i was able to crack and run un-assigned code for it.
Im working on an update for the T6 Encrypter- i already submitted some stuff to the Fantastic 6 on the matter (mostly Iron_Forge)
But right as i was finsihing up on the encrypter Bungie Releases A NEW PATCH!! i downloaded it and tryed some of the maps that worked before the new update- dont work-
so your going to need to hang on awhile untill we get things worked out.

no, i don't. I have no idea how to do anything. I didn't know you could mod the old maps. I've seen people on XBC with softmods that go flying thru the map, and super jump everytime they hit A. I thought ton'tis was modding the map. Or is this modding your profile? I don't know.

Oh- what your talking about is hacked game saves- or like you said- hacking your profile- you use these by downloading them and saveing them to your xbox via Action Replay (memory card)
I personally do not think people should use these UNLESS your just messing around and having fun- but never in a serious match. I have no idea where you would find these hacked game saves- try google for it.
But i'll be more than happy to help you out from there.

no, i dont care about gamesaves. I just wanna know how to get mods i find online to my xbox. I know it has to do with FTP, but i'm clueless. I just need a link or something to tell me the "how to" of softmodding. All posts in this forum or about getting on to your xbox. Now I have it, but how do i use it? I dont really care what game, just Halo 2 is the most populer i would figer. (Sorry for my horrible spelling.)
