Downloaded SID v3.0 tonight and copied over SID3.Splinter.Cell.Part1.Xbox-Hq & SID3.Splinter.Cell.Part2.NTSC.Xbox-Hq over to my memory card using AR, copied them to my Xbox, rebooted it and put the original Splinter Cell in (not platinum, and definitely NTSC)... boots up, I select "Start Game", select the "LINUX" profile and it goes to the "Load Checkpoint" screen, here I select "Check Points" and the screen goes black, what am I doing wrong?

What kind of memory card / usb device did you use to transfer the gamesaves over?
I've tested these softmods on both official xbox memory cards and the mega x-key with success, however the Action Replay memory cards failed the test.
Hope that helps...

I used the Action Replay memory card, I'll try with the official Xbox memory card, I'll let you know how it goes. Thanks a lot, DJB.

Yup, SID 3 Mem Card Compatibility Database should hopefully be done soon. Just spoke to Forahobby and he'll said that he will look into it.

Worked perfectly with the official Xbox memory card, got it up and running oh-so-smoothly. Thanks a lot for the info, DJB.

No worries, it's just some of these damn third-party memory cards.

Got it all setup nicely, great job DJB. Just one more question, bear with me as I'm new to all this... I want to use trainers, I know I have to enable TSR in Evox but I'm wondering if this is ok, I'm using the softmod method since I have no modchip... does it matter? Thanks in advance for the help.

I'd say give it a go, I don't think it can damage your tsop or BIOS on the tsop.

Didn't work... guess you can't use trainers unless you got a modchip. Ah well....

I'm sure you can, are you sure you enabling the trainers properly in the actual trainer menu?

I loaded up Evox, enabled TSR and IGR, went to the trainer menu, put yes to the ones I wanted and put YES to the "Enable" code, saved and exited, started the DVD and nothing.
On another note, I installed SID on my cousin's Xbox, has has the exact same version as me, same kernel, same dash... it worked perfectly but for some reason it doesn't read any of the backups while mine does flawlessly, same drives in both of them too, any ideas what's going on?

Ok, forget it... for some reason my cousin's Xbox wasn't reading one backup, reads all the rest just fine, very odd since my Xbox runs that one smoothly. As for the trainers I've tried everything and can't get them to work.
Speedy2005: "AR" is Action Replay, it's not something you can download, you'll have to go out and buy it, click here to see what it is exactly. Don't use the memory card that comes with it, use the official MS memory card... you'll basically just be buying this to transfer the game saves over to your Xbox's HDD. It's a simple process and well worth it.
