just curious i got a xbox verision 1.0 and i softmoded it with 007 it froze then keept getting error 16 so i out in a xenium chip with bios to boot from disk it does but the hdd is shot i think. also cant get any info from the origanl aid disk starts but then freezes then the hdd goes bzzzzzzzz loud so i think its a door stop so my next question would be could i just take another xbox hdd that i got laying around and put it in or what do i got to do ?
also cant get any info off the origanl hdd any help out there?

Your best bet is to try an unlocked HD, whether it be a larger HD or a stock HD but you cannot just take any xbox HD that you have laying around. It would have had to be unlocked BEFORE it was removed from the other Xbox to work in yours. Otherwise, you will get error code 06.

ok so i got anoyher xbox with a origanal hdd and a mod chip in it so all i should have to do is unlock it then put it in the one that the hdd is pooched?
do i have to do a hot swap or just unlock it with the mod chip x3 ce
and transfer?

You should be able to just use the X3 chip and unlock the Hd and do a swap.
