Hello, i just got my spiderchip 1.1 delivered today and found out that it is mis-aligned with my Xbox version 1.1.
The pogo pins dont line up when the screw is attached.....i have managed to sort this out, but the Cromwell bios disc request still does not appear....it hangs at the green Xbox screen meanining that the chip is not switched on yet.
The chip is powered, as it is lit up bright blue, so it can't be this?....
I eventually soldered the D wire into the hole it is supposed to go in but it still hangs at the Xbox screen.....i tried the E wire first and the chip blinked blue a few times but there was no TV picture.
Anybody got any more ideas i could try out?
Thanks for any help!

1) make sure you use the proper tutorial from the spiderchip website.
2) if your motherboard LPC holes have solder in them you may need to remove the solder...or i know one guy just smushed it down so the chip would sit properly on the holes.
also here is a quot from the spiderchip site concerning one of the pogo pins on the spiderchip v1.1:
Quote:
As previously announced the SpiderChip v1.1 met a installation problem.
All pogo pins do not touch correctly the motherboard of the Xbox, causing the chip inability to boot.
The screw and the ring delivered with the chip are the main cause of this problem.
They are not of the proper size and therefore do not allow a good alignment of the pogo pins.
The pogo pin 'GND' (please refer to the picture http://www.spiderchip.com/The%20pogo%20pin%20%27GND%271.jpg ), linked to the problem of the screw,
prevents some other pogo pins to fit in correctly.
This Pin is a 'security' pogo pin. In fact, it is not used for this
Xbox version and it only is here to ensure the compatibility with future versions of Xbox.
One easy and efficient way to install the SpiderChip with perfect result is to remove
the bottom of the GND pogo pin (please refer to the picture for more details).
Once this is done, we suggest you to use a 9mm long screw in conjunction with a 2mm thick ring.
The installation will be flawless!

ya the last two pogo pins arent in. the ones toward you. i usually just poke a hole thru the soder in the holes with a sharp pin or tweezers. push down and tighten in with the original screw for the mobo ... and my spider has fit fine in over 20 dif xboxes lol. _________________ Blue Chaos
