Just thought i wouuld start this thread..
I havent had problems at all with this great bit of gear called "xboxmediaplayer" or better known as XBMP...!
Sorry, i do lie a little.. The older version of XBMP (v2.2 i think) did not support the divx 5.0.1 codec which i always used to encoder my files etc and also download..
Here are the following tested codecs for XBMP v2.4 (is what im running at the moment):
.wmv (Windows Media Video)
.wma (Windows Media Audio)
.avi (divx 3.11, divx4, divx5 (all))
.mp3 (Compressed Audio)
.mpg (SVCD/DVD MPEG1)
.mpg (mpeg1 (VCD) MPEG2)
Sorry if this is not supposed to be asked but where can i get XBMP and all of the codes and how do i install it on my XBOX? Please email me

Xbox Media Center (XBMC) is available from our VIP section. It's basically the same as XBMP but with more networking support
The latest version is 2004-02-01 is the latest version and it's about 16mb. I seriously doubt yahoo email will support that, plus if we emailed everyone everything it would defeat the purpose of the VIP section.
VIP membership is very cheap and there are many diferent plans you can sign up for (trail, month, annual etc.). It's worth it as it practically has everything you'll ever need...

DJB. Thanx for your response. Will look around rather than pay (no offence intended). Thanx once again.

Is there a way to build a play list for either XBMP or XBMC with a pc instead of the xbox? I have about 15-20 gigs of mp3's and the media player takes a long time when using the network option.
