iidk wats wrong wit my xbox. one day it was working and then the next it completely changed. insted of Evo X showing up, my xbox doesnt even start up properly. it starts up and then shuts off and then starts up and then shuts off and hten starts up one more time. then on the ejector button flashes red and green. and whenever i disable the mod chip it takes me to a screen where it says "contact xbox customer service" I took apart my xbox and my mod chip appeared to be alligned correctly, 2 blue led lights were on.
I don't know wat to do now, someone please help me out

It just sounds like your modchip has become loose..
I would just install it again from scratch..

You must LOCK you xbox hdd for it to work when the modchip is OFF.. Otherwise you will get the errors your talking about!
is there another way to get that auto installer, my parents wont let me become a VIP member so i cant download the autoinstaller.
how do i lock my xbox hdd? also, from starting from scratch, should i reflash my chip?

Hiya
First of all, what HD are you using? Did you ever unlock it?
When you get the sevice error screen, whats the 2 digit error code in the top corner?
Have you flashed the bios latley?
Have you flicked any of those little switched on the front? Try flicking the bios bank switch then boot,
What happens?

hey
i have a western digital hard drive, 160 gigs and 7200 rpm, im not sure wat u mean by unlocking it but its under slave
i havent flashed the bios since ive gotten my xbox modded. a person i kno did it for me. He flashed it through the dvd tray. is there a way i can download the disk online that lets me flash the chip.
the same screen happens when i change the banks, i still get the xbox customer screen, and there are no error codes in any of the corners on that screen.
is there a way to fix this? please help me out

The whole point of that screen is to give you the error number, thin digits like "07" in the top left.

hey DJH,
i finally got that screen that you were talking about. It gave me a "07" which is an HDD Error. What does that mean? I took apart my mod chip and put it in tighter. This must have given the chip a better connection i guess. Can someone please explain to me what i have to do to get my xbox to work

first change the harddrive jumper from slave to cable select ,
if your chip is not installed properly then there is nothing you can do untill
you fix it , so make sure your chip is connected properly 100%,
then you need to flash the bios , since you said your friend already
flashed the bios for you and your chip works then you should have that hacked bios booting , so let us know what it is , evox? xecuter? ind?
you should be able to download the installer from here without becoming vip , or use torrentreactor or slayers IRC to get a autoinstaller ,
and if your hacked bios boots then you should be able to run the autoinstaller and reflash your chip and reinstall the dashboard and apps,
id say reformat the harddrive before installing the new dash _________________ Xbox v1.0/1.1/1.5/1.6a

error 07 is the worst error you can prabably have ,

one more thing ,
select the 123 switches to OFF and switch 4 to ON the turn on your xbox and see if you get the flash bios screen ,
also if the chip light is red means the chip is off , green light means the chip is on _________________ Xbox v1.0/1.1/1.5/1.6a
