My oldest Xbox, a v1.1, bought secondhand in 2004 or 5 was manufactured in 2002 so still 'only' 17 years old.
My most used Xbox, a v1.6 Xecuter chipped one is from 2004 so 'just' 15 years old.
That's the only one that has had a serious problem. I had to replace the power board about 4 years ago now. One of my other Xboxes had half of the front LED array fail. Both fixed with spare parts from a non-working Xbox bought off Ebay.
Apart from the Samsung disc drive eject/close problems, which has now affected all my Xboxes fitted with them those are the only mechanical/electrical problems I've had. Sturdy beasts.
But having said that my original grey slab, late model PS1, bought at the end of 2007 is still going strong at 22 years old. A PSone is my most used console. It is still played for 3 - 4 hours a week regularly, and that is 18 years old too.

Very nice man
Stop making us all feel old.. (jokes).. haha.. 18 years huh. Well, that went by like a flash. [and only 23,543 posts later]. I've managed to keep all of my original consoles including my Atari 2600, c64 and more, all still going strong.
