Hi, I'm Enrico and I write from Italy, I collect retroconsole an retrocomputer, and I've a little market where i buy and sell this type of item by several years.
Recently I found so interesting the xbox classic scene.
I've made some softmod good...but there is part of the sad story...
Now I have 3 xbox classic, one fully working with SMARTXX chip mod, and other two with a bad softmod, error 16 and error 12.
Is possible to fix the two HD o bad softmod?
I try to build it from scratch by a boot cd with xboxhdm_v1.9 and a backup of my MS dashboard.
But the problem is find a good old pc to support this...
I try to several (4 machine) but in everycase the disk isn't recognize, or maybe freeze on boot, or maybe seem to be EVER lock.
And here my idea, I can swap this two bad HD on SMARTXX modded xbox and try to repair it?
Can anyone have suggestion....
By the way at last option I mod this two bad Xbox and go on

for the error 10 did you try another dvd drive or dvd drive cable or power cable or make sure they are in place error 16 if you are good with soldering or find a solderless adapter for the smartxx you could try to repair dash then also have you tried to boot aid or hexen? _________________ The one the only Scarface!!
