U7D1 for 1.6, U7C2 for the rest. Good stuff! It realy sucks they categorized every IC component with a U, should have broken it down just a little more. _________________ 320GB ST3320620A 7200RPM 16MB Cache

The naming follows electronics standards. For the designer, there's no problem as they know the part number of each chip in the schematic and each part is given a short label for the PCB silkscreen to locate the chip.
As a hacker, without the schematic, makes things a bit harder to determine the chip functions without looking up each manufacturer's part number. Nice they, Microsoft, didn't sand off the part labels as a few modchip designers do or relabel chips with the wrong part numbers.
