If you wanna upgrade you go from chip to softmod And Modchip.ca is going out of business and all they have are Xenium 1-1.3 chips
And just a warning ModchipCentral is a scammer site. Theres no such thing as a duox3 thats a fake chip and they damn well know this.

If you have a v1.0-1.5 Xbox you can TSOP it, which will give you same the benefits as having a chip _________________

So if I TSOP I'll be able to do everything I could with a chip ? Would I be able to skip DVD Check ? Is TSOP Hard and what moderator should I hit up for advice if any ?

Just make sure you know your Xbox version for sure before attempting this. If you have a V1.6 Xbox, then you'll have to find a Duox or Alladin chip online.
As for the rest of your stuff, yes you can flash it so that the Xbox skips the DVD drive check. Depending on what version your Xbox is you'll have to use a different bios. You'll just need to modify the bios to not check for the DVD drive, which is easy on the X2 5035 bios, which can be used on 1.0 and 1.1 Xboxes (if I remember correctly).
TSOPs will do almost everything a chip does. An advanced chip like the X3 CE or the Xeniums have some extra features that you can't achieve with a TSOP, but you can't buy those chips anymore anyways. A TSOP will do everything that a currently available chip will do. _________________
