Hey all, just figured I'd share this tip.
I just did a Jewel Ring mod for someone and I cleared out their stock Xbox jewel. After I cut my hole I wanted to give a different glue a shot. I typically use hobby glue (hot glue gun) but I just dont like it's results with the stock clear jewels.
I prefer to use the type of jewels that have a lip on them and they just slide down the hole.
This time, I used super glue. I was very careful laying it on. I then put the jewel on and put a spray bottle on top of the jewel to give a littel pressure while it dried.
I was bummed out when I went back to it to see that the super glue left some white spots on the outside of the top portion of the case. It must have been from the evaporation of the glue as it dried. It almost looked like white mold spots or something.
I have read other forums where people had gotten white marking from super glue and wanted to know how to remove. Basically, you can't. So what I did was got black acrylic paint, the same type of paint used in making window clings.
I dabbed some on a QTip and then neatly applied it around the ring where the spots were. Then I took the other dry end of the QTip and rubbed it in. You can't even tell! It looks awesome!
Just thought I'd share that tip in case someone ever has a blemish on the case they would like to take care of. I used it on a couple marks too and it really looks good.

Hi TheModGod,
Sounds like a chemical reaction between the platics console and the super glue.. I would have though you couldnt have used that anyway but always good to give it a go once.. heheh lol
Glad you got it looking sweet again too.. I bet you were worried for a minute..
