So I just softmodded my Xbox like a month ago using the Splinter Cell gamesave exploit to install UnleashX. I have a disc of AIDeluxe that I burned with the version that was up-to-date in september '09 (not sure just which one). Last saturday, i remembered that i still had the disc lying around and had wanted to install the evolutionX dash and some apps. So i made all my backups (EEPROM was the only one i had to make, i backed up the msdash and modded dash when i first modded the box) and installed Evox to the E drive (as a dual boot). When I restarted the xbox, though, booting with the tray either open or closed resulted in the ms dash booting. the only way i could access my mod was via the splinter cell hack. i restored my original ms dash and then re installed UnleashX, but the AIDeluxe disc only installed the ms dash (i tried installing evox again 'cause i'm an idiot ). so does anyone know why this happened? is evox even worth using over unleashx? please fill me in!

You could try a fresh start, set the hdd back to stack and softmod with evox from sid.

Oh yeah... -facepalm- Well I actually kept UnleashX, as I hear it's better than EvoX. But that still bugs me that it screwed up. I think this was SID 4.0 I tried using.

The only thing that I like better in EvolutionX is the feature to have trainers, but you can also have trainers in Xbox Media Center (XBMC), I personally have to say XBMC is by far my favorite dashboard out of every single one available. But anyways, like Wes213 said, just do a clean install and maybe even FTP all of the other Homebrew out of your E drive. Good Luck! _________________

Got to go with LegendaryFire here, once i used XBMC all the other dashes seem like cheap toys.
