This guy gave me his xbox to put emulators and roms on it. I was able to FTP the NES emulator and roms, but no other emulators because the E partition was down to no free space.
The F partition is missing in all applications (even FlashFXP on PC) except AID's file manager (which I am running off of the disc drive.)
The Xbox itself has no hard or soft mod, but is using some sort of black switch with a lever to turn the 'mod' on or off. It seems like the original bios were flashed, the HDD upgraded (120GB), and the install itself is Slayer's EvoX 2.4. I'm contemplating just wiping everything clean and doing the larger HDD install of AID with the EvoX dashboard, because this Xbox mod job is so poor.
For some reason EvoX appears on both the C and F partitions, and I'm not even sure which one the Xbox is actually using. There are a bunch of games on the F partition, but they are all unplayable from the EvoX dashboard.
I'm not sure what I should do. I feel that I need the F partition to work and show up on all apps with a clean interface and only one place for everything. What do I do? Thanks in advance.
(I would also like to find the EEPROM and back it up) _________________ I have AID.
It sounds like the TSOP on your box has probably been flashed and a switch added to select what banks it boots from.
Can you run the bios checker app on the AID disc and report back ?
Also, try using the file manager on the AID disc and navigate to the F partition and launching the default.xbe for the EvoX dash on there and see where that gets you. _________________

You were right about the first part. Thanks.
I just used AID to format the HDD, it worked, then I reinstalled the EvoX dashboard. I had to rename a .xbe to get EvoX to load on boot, and now everything is fine... with the exception of not being able to go to M$ Dash straight from EvoX.
Also, just some weird duplicate application names coming up in the EvoX App list. Nothing tough.
This Xbox is so old and one real piece of junk, though. 2002 hardware. Damn. I'm just gonna throw all the emus and roms on F (since it appears now). _________________ I have AID.
