well i am not exactly new to xbox modding, and i was able to hotswap last week using AID 4.40, that hdd was a 20 gb maxtor and once AID loaded it did a format and i was on my way.
now i want to get the second biggest hdd i have in my xbox, so i did the exact same thing. only this time the installer did not load
this hdd is a seagate 160 gb (which i took from my computer like the other one)
i had put in AID and it did not read it until after 6 minutes, and even then it would not load after a few minutes. so i left my xbox on all night and it still did load AID, so the next day i tried slayers 2.7 which loaded quicker and even got into the dashboard (in about an hour after booting) but even so whenever i moved anything on the controller, it didnt move on the screen.
i have an xbox version 1.6
my questions is...has anyone ever encountered this and fixed it or does anyone know if i am doing something wrong?

after over two weeks and no luck (even with cable select) i have closed up my xbox and have stopped trying after all i am happy with 20gb for now. _________________ I might be considered a newbie on xbox hq but trust me, i've got experience.
now we just need to make every xbox have a clear case, and then we shall change the world one xbox at a time

I really dont recall this post Darth but i apologize if he was offended by it, some time you get on a long run of post helping and they all run together.
The down side is there is now a post floating around about piracy and i put some random ass comment in it.
