Just to expand on sik's response.
When you unzip the aid pack some files stay zipped they are your add ons.
Get the full cut of AID and use the ISO updater and then burn to disk.
put in the AID disk and search in the advanced options for flash bios and run that to set up your chip.
last thing you will need is the chipped one click install and your good to go.

Thanks
in the file that i unzipped there was a burning image file (which worked with my nero burning software) it was named Auto-Installer.Deluxe.v4.20.Lite
I burned this to a cd-rw however i can't see anything on the disk when i open it on the computer. I can physically see that something was burned into the disk...i just don't know what. Anybody have any idea what's on there.
also you guys are talking about flashing the chip. However on this site under the modchip section it says that the xenium ice comes with a pre-flashed bios: Xenium OS
So do I need to flash anything? How do I know if it needs it?
Chip should be here tomorrow or monday...Can't wait!

The disk wont read in a PC since its in an xbox format but the chip flashing part I'm going to say if you put in the chip and it pops up telling you 3 ways to flash the bios then you need to flash the bios.
Most chips come with a pref lashed bios made just to make flashing a good bios easy.
If you notice this linked site on the left and what it offers, it says Video Production (0), what is strange is the also offer Mod Chip's, now I am almost sure that they offer Video Production like those Outdoors Man Educational Television Shows.
I am keeping my fingers crossed......

alrighty installed and I have my xbox talking to my computer over the network (through a router)
thought to put in the aid disk now that i have the evox running and it started up...now what to do?
when i click on "Mod-Chip One Click Installs" it tells me " This option will setup your hard drive installing your dashboard at E:/xbmc (Leaving a shortcut at C:/evoxdash.xbe), and any vital programs required at E:/apps. Warning: this will format C: drive before installing. Do you wish to proceed? "
Ok i'm not sure what this means
I understand the format part will this make me lose all my game saves and profiles for all my games?
...What is this going to do exactly and do i want to do it?
EDIT:
Installed evox (as dashboard) and xmbc (as app)
Got xmbc running through aid disk file explorer...there must be a way of accessing it without aid disk help right?
also i can't figure out how to get evox dashboard running...

This is just make you aware that if you have any information on your HDD you may want to save it, as it will reformat your HDD to the prefered partitions, you will see once you have gone threw the steps c,e,f and some other partitions will be made. this is ok!

You could FTP it in, later on when the Maker sends us Revisions/Updates if you want to change the version you have this will be the way to do this. _________________ Support A Hard Modder!

Ok so from when you clicked on the Mod-Chip One Install you were able to get your HDD Partitioned correct?
And then from there if XBMC is the Dash you have chosen it should be on the AID Disk as well, if you can find it on the AID Disk you will be given a choice where or what drive to Install it chose the E:/Drive.
For the Recored evoxdash.xbe will be laid out in other partition letters, leave them there. _________________ Support A Hard Modder!

Thia AID Disk comes with all kinds of other things DVD2Xbox would be to take the Game from CD and put it on your HDD partition e,f,g depending on how big your HDD is and then there are Emulators and Roms. and some other stuff I have not found any need for.
If you can put DVD2Xbox on your E:/Drive and Emulators on F:/Drive due to space requirements and for the Roms they will be introduced to the Emulators once installed.
So I think I got you question and XBMC will just be Installed on the E:/Drive and not as an app. _________________ Support A Hard Modder!

well i was trying to keep from losing my game saves and profiles so i did not do the partition. Instead I choose Install: Dashboards: E: and installed evox and xmbc
Is the partitioning required to install evox? If so, how do i save my information off the xbox hard drive (i already can access it over lan, i just don't know what i'm looking at and what needs to be saved)
Normally people are able to access evox without the aid cd right?, this allows them then to access xmbc, halo editor, trainers and other things through evox.

Ok, if you have you Xbox HDD set-up already C:/Partition with Standard/Original Xbox Dash, E:/Partition for App's and other stuff also XBMC Dash, F:/Partition for Emulators and other stuff like Games and Mics. Entertainment and then I think a few more other Partitions that you won't recognize that they are even there, once you get XBMC up and running then you will be able to see what I am talking about.
So if you have these C,E,F which is standard for let's say a 120gb HDD then make sure your C:/partition has Microsoft Dash, find a copy of evoxdash.xbe and copy it to all the other Partitions, hopefully this should save you the trouble of having to reFormat your HDD. if not is there any way to save the info on your Xbox HDD. _________________ Support A Hard Modder!
