The eeprom backup should be in the E drive in the backup folder.

That is what I had assumed, but it isn't there anywhere. I know I did the eeprom backup, I even went back into the Softmod Tool and did it again, and the only folder showing up in the E:\Backup directory is the MS backup. Of course I'm probably overlooking something.

That nailed it, thanks man. Now all I have to do is figure out these dismally slow bootup times on this box. It takes about 3 minutes to show the Microsoft logo at the bottom, another 2 minutes just to show the HQ X popup, and another minute for the dash to load. That's for another thread.

If that hdd is getting full it might be part of the slow down.

It did the same thing after I did the clean rebuild on a 320GB drive. I swapped out the dvd drive with one from my personal box, and the load issue went away completely. From what I can see on the busted DVD drive, it doesn't open correctly and doesn't fully close. It is all around screwed up, without it fully closing everything has to wait for the timeout period.

There's really no need to upgrade your version of SID unless you're planning to remod the whole box man. Once you have 3.01 on there and your box is working as you want it, you don't need to upgrade. If you're looking for newer versions of your apps, emu's, rom's etc, try the latest version of AID and its addon packs.
The last time I modded my XB, SID was 4.5 and it messed up my HD settings. The screen was flickering when I tried to use my components cables on my HDTV. So, I had to restore the MS dash and hadn't used my XB since.
Now, I am planning to mod it again and use SID 5.1. Does anyone know if the HD issue has been fixed? Any experiences?

Yup the HD mode in SID 5.01 works fine, I know this for a fact because that is how I'm running my Xbox now since getting my new TV.
