Okay here is the deal....I recently bought Thrillville and Mercenaries for the original xbox and I wanted to put them on my hard drive to keep from having to throw the disc in all the time. Anyhow I dvd2xbox both the games like I have done with everyone of my games in my library and they both showed no errors in transfer...But when I go to play them they don't even load up...All they do is show a black screen. Is this some kind of protection from the company that produced them to keep my from putting them on my hard drive? It just seems funny that both the games are produced by lucasarts and both games wont play. All my other games transferred with no problem and play with no problem. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Well thats not the problem with Mercenaries cause I've put it on all my Xboxes without a problem so the must have been something that didn't copy or it didn't copy correctly. I'm not sure about the other game but its prolly the same problem. Are you sure you weren't in ISO mode when you copied them that may also be the problem. _________________

No Iso mode. I use dvd2xbox to transfer games from the disc to the hard drive. It works perfectly with all my other games and they all play perfectly. The discs themselves are practically brand new so I don't think that is it.

Try clearing your E cache folder and the X,Y,and Z folders.
If that fails to help move ther save folder to a safe place and then try them.

Try goin into the file manager and copy the games that way if what wes said doesn't work. Thats how I copied mercenaries to my boxes since I didn't have DVD2Xbox at the time and as I said it works fine on all my boxes, but its also worked with DVD2Xbox when I tried it a minute ago. _________________

LOL Well I tried all three suggestions and still a no go. I was getting paranoid that maybe none of my games would copy to hardrive for some reason so I put in another game of mine and it copied perfectly. It is just really weird that two games from the same company would give me such problems. Anyhow no worries I guess....its just a pain in the butt having to put the disc in everytime I want to play mercenaries or thrillville. But my system seems to work perfectly with all the other games so it must just be eithier the discs or the program on the discs.

If pxhdloader doesn't work you could double check that every file is there, there could be somethin missin that you overlooked I had it happen on Star Wars KOTOR 2 it said everything copied fine in DVD2Xbox and the game wouldn't load so I checked the files almost three times till I noticed one of the files wasn't there. _________________

Xbox wont read an iso from the hdd just from disc, you wold need to extract it to the hdd to make it read.
