this one is the labrat. it's a 1.0 I used sid 5. should there be a sid folder in C: or E: and what should it contain there is a sid folder in z: and it is empty. did i Miss a step?

No man no sid folder and the xyz drives are like a cache folder you can clear them if you want.
I just tsoped my 1.0 real ez and makes it work just like it has an X-2 chip in it.
So even if i format my hdd i can just pop in the aid disc and rebuild.

well to finish this post for now, I got new memcards and the soft mod work just as it was supposed to. I put a larger HD (confirmed Good) in the 1.6, and it works great. I'm glad to have found this site. Wes213 I can't thank you enough.

I just bought a modded XBOX from a friend that had every NES, SNES, SEGA, ATARI, and MAME game on it. One day he turned it one and nothing was there but the dashboard I guess that says Evolution X. When I click the Evox option it just goes to an EVOX sreen for two or three seconds and then back to the main dash. No games some up anymore. I know absolutely nothing about modifying an XBOx. CAN SOMEBODY PLEASE HLPE ME FIX THIS?

Need some info man is it softmodded or chiped and is it a stock hdd?
have your tryed loading a burnt disc with aid or slayers on it?

I know absolutely nothing about it. I can tell you what you need to know if you tell me where to look. I couldn't gt the top cover of the XBOX off. Please help me help you. I think it might have a chip in it. HOw can I tell?

If you can pull the top off look under the dvd drive for an out of place chip or led lite its chiped, or you can remove the hdd and dvd and post a pic of the mobo that wold help.
If you dont see one check your game saves for AR or action replay files.
Or if the bolt heads are still coverd by the stickers you got a softmod.

Give me a minute to look. The stickers have been removed and I'm gonna take off the cover. I never knew there were bolts under then, but somebodt ha already done this now that I can see the bolts. I'm guessing it does have a chip, but let me look. Would you rather do this through email?

Okay, the screws are out, but the cover isnt budging. I dont want to braek anything. Any pointers?

There are bolts under all 4 rubber feet did you pull them?
