Hey,
I just got a new pc with Vista Premium as the OS and I'm trying to share folders over my network so my softmodded xbox can access them (using XBMC). I had this setup and working perfectly on my other pc running XP. I can FTP to my xbox with no problems so I know everything is connected properly. When I try to access the folders from the xbox nothing shows up. I'm not sure how to fix this, any idea's?

What hes talking about is being able to access shared folders over his network with XBMC. I would assume it would be a vista problem. I used to do this, but the newer builds of XBMC dont have this option anymore. _________________

Right, I thought thats what he was saying, the xbox can't recognize the files because of the way Vista was built? but shouldn't there be somthing he can change in Vista or no? Because I'm thinking about changing to Vista myself.

theres a ton... If you dont have to upgrade, dont bother until they start releasing service packs. I didnt mess with xp till service pack one came out. I have vista cause my computer came with it. Also, you need atleast 512 mbs of ram, but in reality you want 1-2 gigs. Also Its a good idea to have atleast 2 processors. _________________

I have been running Vista Buisness for about 6 month now and I have no problems with anything. Even though Vista is still a little buggy.
