I never came across this problem before, My xbox will not stay on after
pushing the power button, red lite flashs the shuts down. If i start the xbox with the eject button It stays on and no problems, plays any game disc.
What is the cause of this, I would like to know. I ruled out the power supply, the Power button. I think the problem is something to do with the mother board, but what?

Do you have a mod chip in it? It sounds like when powering it on it powers the chip on and something is wrong, and when powering on with eject the chip is disabled so the normal bios boots fine. _________________

Check how your chip is seated and check the D0 wire.

Checked the Do wire, it was soldered in the wrong place on the board,
everything works as it should.
