if im in the wrong part im sorry. ok my xbox is screwed up. i had evox as dash. thats not the problem. live stoped working. so i tried to restore the xbox to it origanal state to see of that would work. it went through the process of it and said done and then i turned it on and black screen popped up saying error. i had mimesis and h2 on my hd. i had killer maps and mods and i want to fix it. i read that a chip could fix it and my dad read something about doing something on the computer to fix it. i cant remember what it was he found. anyways so we took the xbox apart and then we stoped. can someone please help me. also if u know why xbox live stoped working let me know. i was able to play it before and i cant now. i had mods and was banned from matchmaking but i was able to play with friends and things like that. other online games worked but not that. anyways what should i do. if u can help me i would apparicate it. thanks to thouse who do.

ok, you were banned because your xbox is modded, you will not be able to get on live with hat xbox again.....sorry to break the news to u.
As for fixing it, the only thing i can think of is a hotswap, or a chip.

ok ill chip but what is the chip i should get ? my dad knows how to solder but which is better solder or non-solder? sorry dont know what its called. is the non-solder anygood? and what cool stuff can i do with them? what chip do u recomed? and how much are they? and can i send my xbox to someone to install it and put things on it if they can and things like that? is putting a chip hard and what will happen if i get one and install it will it just pop up when i turn it on?

Well, this is a reply to the PM as well man.
Soldered or Solderless, you get the same result, one is just easier than the other. If you trust in your soldering skills(or your dad trusts in his) then get version you solder, if you'd rather just stick pins in hols and use a screw, then get the solderless.
Since you are going to get a chip, look into the Xecuter 3, may be kind of up there in price, but you dont wanna go cheap with modchips, as u pay for what you get if you catch my drift.
I also hate to inform you all you will be able to do on the XBOX is play the games with your friends. You can no longer play matchmaking games or ranked. Microsoft detected your xbox has been modded and banned it from xbl ranked and matchmaking.

i know i want to just do games with friends. play with my mods u know the drill. anyways is the Xecuter 3 a good chip. is it easy to use and install. also does it work on my xbox version? i have 1.0. is there any videos with that chip? like installing it, what comes up on the screen after installed and put xbox together, what i need to do as soon as i turn the xbox on. things like that. and after i put it in will my mimesis still be on there and halo 2 on my hdd?

I'm really not sure about modchips or anything like that, but if your looking to play halo online still you should really check out xlink kai. Theres alot more lag than live, but you can use a modded xbox, and as far as I know use your mods too. Kai works for any systemlink game. All kai is is a program that runs on your pc and allows you to link to other xboxes throught your broadband connection. _________________

Yup, and for playing with your friends, if they have modded xboxs as well, you can get a program called "xlink kai" for free internet gaming.
