To answer my own question, XBMC definitely doesn't just copy over the top of the old version! I had to delete all traces of the old version, then use the 'One Click Install' feature of AID 3.1 which actually installed it on C:. Well it works, so I'm not complaining, except that most of the XBMC skins are not compatible with version 2.0.0!

I have done a fresh install with AID 3.1 formated all drivers first and done the once touch install with XBMC as dash
i'm having a problem when i edit my XboxMediaCenter.xml file in c:\XBMC
i edit the file like i do with any other verion of XBMC and after editing and rebooting the XBOX none of the changes i have made are accessable in "my video" etc
I have also tried adding my network shares with user names and passwords via the http access on the Xbox xbmc and that also dosent seem to be accesable after saving as well
when i download the file from the FTP on the xbox the file has been edited with the add file but it just never loads and never changes no matter what i do
is there a different file i have to edit or is this a problem with this build of ADI 3.1
i have had no problems editting XboxMediaCenter.xml with AID 3.03
thanks

XBMC 2.0 (the one on AID) doesn't use XboxMediaCenter.xml. So if you're porting yours over from an old build; it's useless. Go and edit all your needed settings in the dashboard itself. And if you also want to edit your keymap check under \XBMC\System\UserSettings (i think that's it).
Also, please make a new thread (this goes for everyone). This part of the forum is called "Auto Installer Deluxe Questions". Which means you can make a new thread on it when being related to this topic. I think I'll lock this for now. If any other admins fell this is unnessecary, please note it. but this thread is way too long.
For all others, if you have a question about AID 3.1, please make a new thread for it. _________________ "That which does not kill you, only makes you stronger."
