Do you know, the very first game I bought for my PC all those years ago was Fifa 97! Now, 10 years on, the series continues to go from strength to strength and this latest edition is no different.
Fans of the series will be be pleased with this 07 edition. It provides a level of realism and accuracy that is lacking from the PES series and obviously, being licenced by FIFA, contains all the teams from English, German, French, Spanish Leagues and many more. The control system is fluent and responsive, although it can become a bit tricky to execute some of the tricks and skills, but when you do its all worth it. The game has many modes: League, Friendly, Tournament and Manager Mode, where you take full control of your team, from its line up to its finances and hopefully guide your team to sucess.The Fifa series has always had a great 2-4 player aspect, with the added extra of Xbox Live! You haven't truely played until you whack home 3 stunners past your friends goalkeeper, taunting him repeatedly as you do so! Its the classic sit in front of the tv, pizza, beer and Fifa!
There's plenty in the game to keep you occupied and it has the longevity factor too. Every game is different and each team has their own strengths and weaknesses. All in all, a splendid edition to the series, I just wonder what is next for EA Sports? How will they improve further?I looking forward to reviewing Fifa 2017, ten years from now!
