How many of you out there knew you could flash your Xenium Ice mod chip right from your web browser?
Okay, so there were two of us....lol
While everyone is struggling to FTP or learn how to create a bios CD to flash their chip, here is a great way to go.
First, connect your PC to your Xbox like usual. If from your router, just a standard Cat5 line, if from your PC use a crossover cable. Turn your Xbox on so your Xenium Ice OS Menu is showing.
Go to the network settings and take note of your IP address that is listed. Mine will be different than yours, and I set mine to static.
Next, in a web browser on your PC type in the ip address. Put http;// in front of it. Mine was http://192.168.1.200 You should now see this:
Now, you can select Flash and come to this screen
Sorry about these pics, I used my camera instead of doing screen shots. I was in a hurry and just wanted to get the pics. But it gives you the idea.
Now, just browser your PC for the bios you want to use, name it, and select your LED color. Click Proceed and your chip will be flashed right from your browser! And people thought X3 was the first chip to do this!!
later all

Hi,
nice very nice.. Always something to learn.. heheh
This reminds me of the XBOX MEDIA CENTER http server.
If you dont know about this go into your XBMC options and turn on the 'http server' option. (its great)
Then go to a webbrowser and type in your xbox ip adress like this..
e.g. http://192.168.0.2
It will bring up XBMC in your webbrowser so you can control your xbox..
Very nice feature.. I was only showing DJB this the other night!
You can start movies, mp3's etc etc from your pc without even getting up.

Very cool... I didn't know that! Damn, I wish I had time to play with these machines more.
I purchased Xbox Media Center Extender Kit for a non modded Halo Machine that I have. It's pretty cool. It comes with a remote control and an install disk. Basically, I have a wirelss router now and a game adapter for the machine. For this Extender Kit to work, you must have a media center PC running Windows XP Pro Media Center Edition 2005. Once installed anything that your PC can do, so now can your xbox. You can have up to Five instances of the Xtender kits running. It allows you to pause, record, and rewind live tv (TiVO style), play DVD's from your PC, divx files, MP3 music, picture slide shows, check to see what XBL buddies are online, etc...
Here are some screens.
It's a pretty cool thing. I guess it's MS's answer to XBMC, although you are required to have a Media Center PC so it's a pretty piss poor answer for the masses.

In Australia we have satellite mainly for tv.. Well PAYTV!
How would my pc stream the video/audio to the xbox like you have shown me above?? I dont think it would work for us here.
anyway, cheers for the screenshots.. It looks great!
