Hey people, its been a long time since i've been here.
How are yall doin?
Down to business. Workin on this V1.1B the dvd drive is having read issues. I'm assuming it is a pot calibration thing. So what a good ohm reading suppose to be? _________________

Hi Montauk198,
Have you tried cleaning the lens first with some alcohol?
That should fix it up, sounds to me like its dirty.
If that don't work and you want to try pot calibration trick, i haven't done that since 2006.. lol. Just increment the ohm's by 25ohm everytime until you get a good result. don't go past 850ohm or it will burn it out and/or become very noisy.
Here are the steps to tweak the thompson drive.. not sure about others.
