In 1995, David Wu, Richard Hilmer and Daniel Posner began building the foundations for what would later become Pseudo Interactive Inc. The three met during their engineering studies at the University of Toronto. Inspired by his dislike for manual calculation of MEC100 problems, David began working on a dynamic physics simulator. It didn't take long for the potential of the engine to be recognized, and with Rich and Daniel contributing to the project, it eventually evolved into an impressive tech demo called Mechanisms. They posted a copy of Mechanisms on the Internet that grabbed the attention of a few significant people in the game industry, and landed David a programming position at Origin Systems in Austin, Texas. Armed with excessive optimism, a two page design document and a relentless obsession to create innovative, earth shattering games, David returned to Toronto where he united with Rich and Daniel to valiantly conquer the immortal challenges of game development.
