You got to PIIIMP MYYY RIIIIIIDE!A West Coast Customs fan I'd like to say; but one thing before I start:Spend your money on another game. (... DAMNNN RIGHT!)
Today I'll be reviewing L.A. Rush which is all about racing. The story -if you don't lean yourself to wide out of the window with calling it like this- is basically Need for Speed-like:Your a rich motherf****r; a bad guy appears robbing you everything and your aim is to get your cars and fame back kicking said guys ass. But Need for Speed at least has OK storytelling. LA rush in contrast feels simply awkward:You can imagine it like this: Take a sandbox-style city (that doesn't feel like a city), take actually even pretty nice graphics (I'll come to that later) and give it an absolutely dis-motivating flair. There you go.
It is so that you spawn in front of your house and can do everything you want.Which would be good, well.... IF YOU COULD DO ANYTHING. You're starting out; drive to the first race, beat it. 2nd race. 3rd race 4th...... Then: AWKWARD wannabe-story telling cutscene. Hillarious. But not in a positive way. What might be done next? ->5th race. 6th race. OMGGGGGG!!! Next cutscene. ETC., ETC., ETC., ETC., ETC., ETC.; etc. I can't really describe this. There is just 0% atmosphere. It feels like the developers coded everything from the technical site and just wanted to make the actual GAME, but the WCC came over for a beer and asked them to use their license. It feels like a prototype of something that might have become good, but after all it is nothing but an unfinished product without any character or charm except maybe a feeling of embarassment. The graphics are in return very nice, especially when you're cruising at night, the lightning effects are great. And the driving itself feels OK, relatively nice sense of speed.
The music depends on personal taste; DMX-style rap is not every bodies thing. But, yeahh, That's it pretty much. Conclusion: I LIKE Pimp my ride and -believe me- I stayed as objective as possible and I rated the GAME. And the game is not an actual game for me. It feels terrible overall. And if I rate something this bad, it must have a reason.I only recommend this to hardcore, and I mean -> HARDCORE (message me). CHEERS, PEOPLE!
