Scooby-doo, where are you?
In this case, you are Scooby-doo. Unlike Scooby-Doo! Mystery Mayhem, you are not joined together with Shaggy. You are collecting edibles and clues to solve a mystery.
Much like the Mystery Mayhem, graphics are spot on, including hilarious reproductions of some of Scooby's typical behavior and the sound, although it uses none of the original cast, is also pretty much a perfect reproduction. Granted I think Scoobys voice is just a little to high pitched.
I have found that this game can be quite fun for the avid Scooby fan. But again, much like Mystery Mayhem the game play is just a little too simplistic for adults and probably most teens and a bit too hard for younger children. As you proceed in the levels, there are harder timing jumps with sliding horizontal walls and small landing areas that would frustrate or even infuriate young kids. Its difficult at best to actually position Scooby for a jump since a lot of the game is dark and you cant see his shadow very well. The swinging from chandelier to chandelier was frustrating enough as to ruin the fun on the levels needing these actions.
I do still enjoy the Scooby series, since Im a huge Scooby-doo fan, although if he was just this game and not the cartoon.... I doubt Id be a Scooby fan for long.
If you are a huge fan of Scoob, then maybe this game is for you.
