I've noticed problems with 2.1 final, and a few of them aswell.
Probs with XBMC
Probs with music in installer
Tonight I'll make 2.11 and start upping it.
The reason why this is happened because I felt so rushed to do it, because of an opportunity of some work which started next week (which fell through btw), so I'm gonna sit down and fix this tiny little errors up. It's nothing MAJOR as such (like it won't fry your xbox or anything) but they're very annoying and doesn't do the package and good reputation.

Just a bit more of a description on what happens:
* XBMC doesn't work with the controller. Originally Pirrup noticed this problem with the current keymap.xml file, so like he advised I went down a version. Unfortunately it doesn't like the new build I used for it, which was only one day newer that what I previously used.
* The music in the main menu seems to skip and jump around a lot, I think this might be the fact that I use MP3 VBR for the soundtrack.
My intentions:
In about 8 hours or so (since it's about 12:10am here atm and I need some sleep) I will fix all these small problems up and bring out v2.11 hopefully by the end of tomorrow or Friday. This will be another full ISO release and not an update pack. I really apologise to everyone who has already downloaded it, espceially since I thought it would be bug-proof, more testing and less stress on my part would've helped I guess.
Anyways, now you now what I plan to do, and once again I'm sorry for any inconvenience.

The BIOSes ain't addon packs, three's nothing wrong with the updater.
So do we need to use the updater if we download the 2.1 Final?

ok,i'd prefer to know if i can use this befor i download it...
i've softmodded my xbox with the UXE method using Krayzie's installer.i'm using the EvoX Dash and i'm currently having problems with FTP so i need to know if it uses ftp at all.also,if there is a guide to using this,can i please have a link to it? thanks.

thanks shark2th,but to tell you the truth,that site just made me more confused.so can someone please tell me if i can just install the apps/Dashboards/emulators alone without the softmod or bioses?

Without modding the Xbox... can't add anything like an app or a bios. I don't know anything about the UXE method but if the box is modded then yes, you can install any dashboard you wish. Not sure about the bios though. _________________ http://twitter.com/HQ_Shark2th
