Sketchy those were some really good questions. I'm glad you asked because I hadn't had a chance to play a lot with the installer and that answered some of the questions I would have had. I like your multidash idea too since each one has it's strenghts. _________________ http://twitter.com/HQ_Shark2th

At the moment I'm working on a website for Auto-Installer Deluxe (look at the bottom of my signature for the url), so this would actually be a good turotial to enter into it I think.
It's too not complicated, esepcially since there's a file manager built into the Auto-Installer (which makes it very easy to rename files)...

That's version 3.5.1.0 (released on September 2004) so everyone with this don't worry because there's not a newer version than this..
Kudos points to funkydopeloven for actually posting this, I think I encountered this at one stage a few months ago before I updated. I didn't really mention it in any posts because I thought it would be common just to update programs such as this constantly, especially since it's freeware.

well, backupped all my games / emulators / roms and divxmovies just to try this autoinstaller
the install menu was nice and clear
i also noticed that when i installed an dashboard on the C, and after that an dash on the E, it starts with the earlier installed dashboard on the C
I miss the oppurtunity, to select diffrent dashes i basicly need a dash like the dash slayers uses, so u can select avalaunch for copying games to the xbox over network with qwix, xbmc for divx etc..
i also noticed, that the default ip setting of all programs is set to 192.168.0.2, maybe u should set this up to dhcp default
and last but not least,
i missed the option "install everything"
just that u select install everything, and that it will format ur drives, and auto install all apps / emulators / dashes etc
i'm now downloading slayers 2.7, and i'm going to test that one also
keep up the good work !!

There's a program called XSelect bundeld with the Auto-Installer that will let you have up to 4 dashboards at one time (or any selectable xbe in that matter). If you wish to use 2 dashboards I'd suggest using that. ATM I have UnleashX as my main and EvoX for the game trainers (the only thing missing from UnleashX in my opinion).
The reason why I set a Static IP of 192.168.0.2 is becaues I've found Static to give me lesser problems, and 192.168.0.2 is the IP of my Xbox. You have to remember I've designed this Auto-Installer for myself as well as everyone else.
As for the Install Everything, I found it pointless with this installer because of the flexibility of it. It's not like Slayers where you get the only as Evox only for your main dash.
Also, just so you don't make yourself crazy looking for it, there's no Slayer's 2.7 yet. Slayers 2.6 was released in September, roughly a week after I relased my last EvoX based installer.
Thanks for your kind words and opinions...

Where's this from, BT?? or are you a beta-tester?
XSelect starts up before any dashboards, and then you configure XSelect when you press a button on the startup of your xbox (A,B,X,Y) it will launch a certain program or dashboard.

That could be nice, if it's too much hassle don't worry though. I'm just curious to see what SlaYer's next step is.
Btw, do you know how long ago this was released??
