It's sad but everything dies sooner or later. The xbox1 was the best console so far for modding that's this place was so damn active. Like there were\are so many things you can do with it...
If Xbox default hardware was able to run HD... The history will be different... much different.
My guess is that in 2013 when the new xbox pops up the xbox1 will be totally dead by that time.

As a matter of fact, I just got another Xbox 1 that I found at a thrift store. It was in a box with a PS2 along with power and video cords, a PS2 memory card and several controllers for both consoles. And the best part was I got it all for $15.00!
I opened up the Xbox to clean and check it out. It has a Xcaliber video chip and Hynix RAM so I think that makes it a Version 1.6b Both consoles work so it looks like I've got more to play with!

Well hello gentle sirs! I've not been around for long, but i plan to stay for a while. I've got a 1.0 and a 1.4 to tinker with that will last me quite a good chunk of time.
EDIT: Also, coming back to the xbox1 made me realize how easy they made games in further generations. They're more complicated, but all over easier. On some x1 games, even the easy mode is challenging!!

No, No No! We need to keep the Xbox 1 support alive here. I have several friends who had no idea how powerful (and fun) a clean running 'box could be and now I am up to my neck in "requests".
All you folks here at HQ inspired me to take the plunge and crack open my first box 5 years ago. It changed my life. I have had so many hours of challenges, losses and victories. It has been my own personal Xbox RPG of modding. Signing up to be a lifetime member here, made me feel I would always have a place to call home. Thank you all and keep up the GREAT support!!!

me too.. I really appreciate it.
Im having trouble keeping 360-HQ up-to-date as it is.. Sure we can't mod the 360 as good as the xbox 1, but one day all our members wil move up, i gotta have all the info ready!

Hi,
Newby here too. Bought my modded xbox classic a couple of years ago. xecuter2 in it, harddisk in it, avalaunch 0.49.1 on it. Went broken months ago because of modifying some settings (I guess). Even got a bios message for some time, however that's fixed by now.
Current state: runs original games. runs avalaunch, but locks up whenever I start something from disk.
Hope to find some info on this site on an eventual latest version of anything to install/use on it and hope on tips how to solve this.
So... anyone?

Id try reinstalling the dashboard. Preferably not Ava as its pretty old and other than its FTP not the greatest dash. Grab XBMC-App Installer and it will let you install UnleashX Evox or XBMC for dash board. Personaly I dont care for Evox but its BIOS flash ability does make it the most common choice for a chipped XBOX
