Wow, amazing. I can wait til you get it posted. I have to go out today and pick up some torx screwdrivers anyways, that's the only thing I don't have yet.

I'll put it up on a torrent tracker and post the link. Once the big guy gets back to me hopefully I can get a direct download posting for it here on site. This will save you alot of time took me less than a half hour to build a drive and mod it (done all at the same time). Its set up so it works exactly like build portion of my HDD tut.

Wow this is fantastic! Will you be posting the exact steps I would need to follow to run this then or is that not necessary? Once the process is complete, would I then use the AID disc if I wanted to install additional emulators? I like the fact that AID will install all the emulators all at once. I take it this would completely eliminate the need for using the SID install disc then correct? Will this install Unleashx? I think that's the dash I will want to use.
This is going to make things so much easier for us first-timers.

Its the exact same steps from the point I boot the PC to locking the drive as in my HDD upgrade video. All you will need to do is put your eeprom.bin file in the eeprom folder double click makeiso.win and burn the ISO (will be called Linux) to DVD-r at 4x. When you put the HDD in your XBOX after using this it will boot SID5 with Unleashx plus like 75 skins, XBMC, Enigmah DVDx and DVD2XBOX installed in E/apps and the above mentioned emus in E/emulators.
Heres the torrent file download unzip and double click on it (I had to zip it to attach it). You will need something like bittorrent/utorrent or azureus installed to download this.

Okay so I watched the tutorials. So you mean to tell me that I don't even need to go through the whole thing with copying the gamesave/inserting Splinter Cell/etc. like outlined in the SID manual other than to get the EEPROM like you mentioned above?
I typed out everything in steps so that I could print it out and follow it along. So then are these the correct steps from the very beginning?
- Unzip "SID5(Pimped) Hotswap.zip"
- Copy the SID gamesave exploits to your usb device (SID511.Installer.zip + SID511.Loader.SplinterCell.NTSC.zip) using Xplorer360.
- Connect the usb device to the XBOX using an XBOX/usb cable.
- Turn on the XBOX.
- Copy the SID gamesave exploits to your XBOX, then erase the memory card.
- Put in the exploit game (Splinter Cell).
- Select "start game", then "linux", then "Check Points"
- Select "Backup / Restore Features".
- Select "Create Eeprom Backup".
- Select "filemanager" and copy EEPROM.bin to the usb device.
- Shut off the XBOX.
- Connect the usb device to your PC.
- Copy the eeprom to the /linux/eeprom folder in XBOXHDM
- Double-click "make-iso-win" in XBOXHDM.
- When finished, burh the Linux ISO to DVD-R at 4X with Imgburn.
Then I would just follow your new video tutorials above?
I do have a question though. What install settings are used with this method? The SID softmod disc offers options for standard, virtual C + EEPROM and HD. I'm assuming this will be a standard single-boot without virtual C, is that correct? Will it be in HD so when I finally get a high-def tv it will be ready to go?

This is a single boot standard. Im currently working on one with shadow c and an evox package. If at any time you decide you want to change just throw in an AID disc and do a backup then hit the 1 click softmod. Being my first one I tried to keep it simple. I couldnt include anything to do with eeprom or it would screw other peoples xboxs since it wouldnt match their eeprom.
You got it right on the eeprom just boot the game to get the eeprom then back out. what I do in that video is exactly what you would do, except since you have a 500gb drive youll need to format the G before its usable just pop in AID and go to the format menu and pick format g

I just re-typed the list I would follow from the beginning in my post above to make it easier for me to follow. It starts right from the beginning up until I would follow your video tutorial. Have I got it right?
When you say single boot standard install, does that mean it's not in HD? I just want to know how things are set up so I will know when I get a high-def tv how things are set up. By the way, is HD 720p using the xbox? I'm assuming that all the menus would be in HD and only a few games support it, is that right?

Its just standard, but you can switch it in about 5 minutes with AID when you get your HD TV and nothing will be harmed all your apps games etc will still be intact. Plus to actualy get HD you need the RGB kit with just the AV its only faux HD kinda like those upconverting DVD players. But even with just the AV you will notice the difference I use a Toshiba 1080i TV and I can see the difference between standard and HD. As I said I was just trying to keep it simple, now that I got it figured out (this one at least) Im sure I can get dual boots, shadow c's and all that in the package.

Yeah I was looking at the HD kits available on Ebay. It seems very very hard to find an actual Microsoft XBOX HD kit. Plus I guess they released 2 different versions. I know there are a lot of fake ones around, but I've read they are mostly terrible (interference, etc). There a store just down the street from me where I picked up the XBOX that actually has a cheap brand HD kit, but I don't trust it - it's only $5.99. And it doesn't have any optical audio support either, just stereo.
Right now I just have the advanced AV pack, which is fine for now, but I'll need the HD kit sooner or later.
When it comes to time to update to HD with AID, what would I select to do the upgrade?

Still waiting to do the softmod - I've just been trying to reorganize things on my desktop over the last day, things are such a mess right now.
If you come up with newer versions with advanced options, will you be posting them somewhere on this site?

All releases will be put here for direct download as well as the torrent file. I will be doing new packages but its gonna be a while. The one I got up now took me over 6 months to do. Its a slow proccess imaging 10 or 15 HDDS to look for the small differences between kernels and then making sure it will work on all kernels. Nice thing about NK is its a temp fix. Everytime you turn off the XBOX it gets'"Unpatched" so to speak and every time you turn it on it patches, which allows for it to cover all kernels as long as the proper book.xtf files are used. The other issue is I need to hide specific files where SID can find them but the user cant to avoid deletion of integral files. On the current edition I hid a C drive backup and MSdash where SID can find it but wont get overwritten if someone decides to do a backup. Kind of my answer to a shadow C drive.
I am working on a dual boot HD release with choice of Evox or Unleashx but I wouldnt expect it in the very near future. Id say at least a month before its done then gotta run it through the gauntlet to make sure it will stand up which takes a while since I like to try to test for all eventualities.
