Got to have a softmodded or chiped xbox to flash the TSOP.
Not quite true wes if you have Auto Flasher Deluxe (thanks again for makin it Greven, DJB , and especially J8994 for gettin to me) you just put the save files on the box just like you were gonna mod it but instead of softmodding it it allows you to flash the TSOP. _________________

Thats all good but my point was his hdd wont boot anything and he cant launch the msdash to save anything so TSOP still wont help him.
The saves you put on the xbox are modded, the soldering of your 2 points is modding , like i said you must be modded to flash a TSOP.

You said it has to be softmodded of have a modchip to be able to flash the TSOP not just you have to do some modding which is true without this program. With AFD you just put the saves on then do the soldering for the TSOP, and once thats done you just pop in Splinter Cell and load the linux save just like normal and then flash it. Afterwards if you flashed with the X-2 bios it will bring you to the little dash thing for the X-2 chip after you reboot _________________

That sounds so much like something i have done..... oh yeah sounds like softmodding with a few steps short.
But what ever man, how ever you want to do it and what ever you want to call it he still needs to be able to boot some kind of dash to do.
it works fine now, but everyting runs slower, probably because of the many bad sectors on the hdd,
but owner wants new hdd in it, which is a wise descision
got the eeprom on my pc, so no more worries now for his Xbox
going to perform my first TSOP right away on a v1.0,
Regards!

Well all it is a hacked form of SID so yeah its pretty much softmodding but it just flashes the TSOP. Yes he does have to be able to boot a dash but the conversation wasn't really about him TSOP'ing to fix anything darth or someone brought it up as an alternative to a chip and I was just sayin you don't have do anything to the box but put the saves on solder some points instead of puttin a chip in b4 hand or softmodding it which takes out quite a few steps if you're doin it to a fresh unmodded box. _________________
