buy chip
install chip
flash with bios
install dash / apps / emus using AID4

you will have to have:
1. a modchip, id recommend a xecuer 3 chip, then a xenium gold chip, then probably a smartxx v3. but thats just me, any will do
2. a larger hard drive, if you want to play games off of it.
3. a download of AID 4.02 (which you have already i believe)
4. of course tools to get inside the xbox
5. you wont get in trouble with the chip...its just the retailers that are selling them online.

How much do you think all of this will cost?I found a 300 gig hardrive made by seagate for 80$I plan on getting a biger hardrive from my friend,but who is the best retailer for modchips?My version of xbox is rubbed off of the bottom so i don't know what version it is.How can i find out?

as a softmoder i recomind the softmod cus ther ant all that compadabilety bs plus all you need is sid 5.01 a way to get sid 5.01 to the hdd like a thumb drive or ar for xbox and 1 of 3 gamea mechassalt thats what i use splintrer cell and a 007 game cant ever remimber wich one cus im not a 007 fan them once you have thes things its as easy as pie and you can start moding your frinds and make a cupel of bucks doing it and you dont half to wory about geting raided cus of your mod chip order tracking number plus you dont need to soder and if you xbox is not a v1.6 you can use chimp to upgrade your hdd its alit easer the xbhdm i have used both and like chimp more _________________ <a href="http://www.us.playstation.com/PSN/Users/BUD_TOKER_13"><img src="http://pid.us.playstation.com/user/BUD_TOKER_13.jpg" width="235" height="149" border="0" /></a>

The chip runs around 25 to 50 i like the X-2 and X-3 myself wold be best to get it from over seas right now
I wold say if you cant solder then youll want the solderless kit about 15 bucks for smart xx and X-2 chips.
