Question. When making the ISO, do you put the AIDIso first. Or the 1gig dummy. I've read both.

Somebody please help. dont want to give up but I feel like it's impossible. I've done everything according to the AID.pdf manual. But whenever I try and burn the ISO with the DvdDecrypter I get error codes like
E 01:24:27 Failed to Write Sectors 5632 - 5663 - Cannot Write Medium - Incompatible Format.
I've tried faster speeds, I've tried lower speeds, I've tried the lowest speed. Everytime I get a message similar to the one above. Sometimes it has different sector numbers. I've tried burning it with Sonic record now. It burns, doesn't play in the xbox. What should I do?? Please help. I'm getting to frustrated over this thing and I'd like to fix it and move on.

My most recent burn attempt reads
W 19:16:20 Retry Failed - Cannot Write Medium - Incompatible Format
W 19:16:20 Retrying (20 of 20)...
W 19:16:20 Retry Failed! - Cannot Write Medium - Incompatible Format
E 19:16:36 Failed to Write Sectors 5696 - 5727 - Cannot Write Medium - Incompatible Format
I am only doing test mode though. So I don't waist dvds with failed attempts.

Your DVD drive in the box might not even read the DVD, because some drives wont read certian brands. Also the UnleashX boot cd is easier than AID for new people. _________________

It's gotta be something else, cause I've burnt a game onto a dvd from the same pack and that played in my xbox. It played when my xbox gave me the error 13. But when I put the same burnt game back in, it wont play, I get error 16. Any ideas?

Weirdest thing is, I have a LiteOn Dvd drive, when I go to MYCOMP that's what it will say too. But when I click burn with the dvd decrypter and go back to MYCOMP, it says I have a default CD drive. I'm guessing that's why it says it can't write in the right medium or format or whatever. But why would it act up like that?

I use a liteon dvd burner as well (Wlamart cheapie and the best drive I've owned). I had no problems burning AID with it. I just read the manual that came with AID, added all the updates to the iso in the order that the manual said, used dvd decrypter to burn with the settings also stated in the manual. Dvd decrypter was even included in the AID download. I burn all my xbox dvd's to Maxell DVD-R's and I have never had a disc that wouldnt play in my xbox (thompson drive).

Does anyone know of any other programs that will burn the specific ISO from AID and run in xbox? I burnt the ISO with sonic my dvd, but it didn't run in xbox, don't know if that was because the program that burnt it or the disc type. Open to suggestions.

Again, as I told you, Magic ISO and Power ISO have xbox settings to burn, so you can try that.

Next, programs Xbox-HQ recommend to use for burning the AID ISO is:
DVD Decrypter
MagicISO
PowerISO
Latest versions of Nero (7.0 or higher)
The AID ISO must be burnt at the SLOWEST speed possible (normally 1x or 2x). Some DVD's will not burn below 4x. If this is the case use that, but do not go higher. Please understand, that even with your softmod / chipped box, your DVD drive will still be very fussy in which brand of media it can read. This is due to different manufacturing processes. As to which brand works on your drive, unfortunately, its a matter of trial and error.
