tried the halo 2 thing also found out that burnout 3 updates the dashboard, still coming up with the same service error, i am starting to wonder wether the sid files are corrupt. going to go on the internet to see if i can find other versions of sid files for comparison reasons, also tried the sid 3.0 on my other xbox and that came up with the same error

been away for awhile but back now tried absolutely everything and still no luck with the softmod, tried sid 3.1 on both agent under fire and splinter cell . still getting the same sevice error on both the xbox's. played halo 2 on both of them still the same error. been back to all the tutorials just to make sure that i am not an idiot and still the same service error. think i may have worn out my copy of agent under fire i have tried it that many times now. help please

If you get an error 21 when trying to softmod, it is the game saves getting corrupted when being transferred. Some after market memory cards seem to corrupt the files when being transferred. Try an original MS Memory card or Max Drive and you should have no problems.
