In the Softmods section on the AID 3.0 disk, near the bottom is the option to unmount virtual C, use that and it will restart wit hthe virtual C disabled.
When you choose 'Format Retail HDD', it will format C and E drives, plus all of the Cache drives. Choosing 'Format C drive' only formats the C drive. _________________ I think I like fixing Boxes more than using them!

Thanks a lot for the information.
Can I just format the C drive and restore the M$dash on it, this way I keep the E drive, gamesaves and cache. This way I can Run Linux from the MechAssault DVD and redo the softmod.
If I Format Retail HDD then I have to copy linux back to the E drive and then run it to do the softmod. correct?

Yes, if you format retail you need to reload everything.
With AID3.0, after you format the C drive and restore M$Dash 5960. You can go to the softmod section and install SID 3, 4.0, or 4.5 Nknave Edition without having to boot any of the exploitable games!
There is also a place in AID 3.0, that you can install the Exploit gamesaves into the HDD, but you need to be able to boot unsigned caod first. _________________ I think I like fixing Boxes more than using them!

One more question before I attempt to Format C drive and install M$dashboard 5960. The unleash X softmod took a backup of my EEPROM. Do I need to restore it back? I have saved the EEPROM backup directory on my PC.

virent : sid 4.0 and i belive 4.5 as well are not confirgured on the nkpatcher system to display hd ..... even if u enabled it via retail mode it is still going to display non hd .... however if you find the source code for nkpatcher system and configure your own then u can get hd....
umm i dont know if this works but on aid 3 theirs a HD PACK which i was told that this enables hd to be enabled... mb this helps..
and umm if u must know this nkpatcher is sitting at 480p which is enhance difination ... not hd but not regular..... _________________ Xbox 360 Premium edition
