what ken34 is saying is : that u are trying to transfer the folder but there should be a file on the right side of it ...

So, I don't have access to dash v 5960. If I install the sofdmod while I have my current dash, can I use AID to copy across the 5960 dash, then reinstall the softmod? If I'm making this too difficult for myself, I'll just go reont Halo2 to get 5960.

i know the xed has ms dash files 5960 ... if aid as well then do this ... well in xed
click uinstall all softmods then it ask to turn off dont turn off yet .... then click install ms dash files 5960 ... then re mod it again
but i think
if u run xed go to softmod option and clik ms dash files in /e backup or / back up ms / depeding on ur sid 4 diretrys... _________________ Xbox 360 Premium edition

Cheers dude.
I've double checked & my xbox definitely doesn't have Dash 5960.
So you're saying what I need to do is install SID 4.5, then use AID to uninstall all softmods, then get AID to install dash 5960 before I turn the machine off?
I really want the dual boot feature, but I know I can't do this with any dash other than 5960.

its like this .... get xed pop disc in click uninstall all softmods then it ask to turn off do not turn it off yet then go back on the list and look for ms dash files 5960 .... then re mod by popin the disc again and doin it again...
on aid i dont know exactly but just try to install ms dash files as one of the primary dashboard or uninstall all softmods and put ms dash and re mod and u should have latetst....
have you play a new game like nfs most wanted halo 2 ... etc etc.???? _________________ Xbox 360 Premium edition

Cheers dude. I borrowed Halo 2 off a friend & upgraded my dash through that. I went to do the softmod & realised that I had Splinter Cell 2 rather than 1! I went out today to buy it, so I'll try the mod tonight & let you know how it goes.

Easy now all!
Just want to say thanks to everyone for all your help. I now have a fully softmodded xbox!
Used AID3 with no problems, now have a megadrive emu packed with roms, a working psx emu & an N64 emu & roms which I unfortunately can't get to work, but I will persevere!
Thanks again to everyone for your help, this place rocks & I'll stick around!

be very care full on what you do after you install SID 4+(4.5) or my 6.6.6 installer.
once they are installed, they will have the virtual partition installed, meaning that your C will no longer be accesable, but your virtual mount will be, and if you install anything on virtual C, than when you boot SID 4+(4.5) installer you'll not be able to access your virtual C.
In other words, if you plan to upgrade your dash, do it via game, or install SID 3(3.1) update your ms dash, and restore to retail from AID disc, than you may install SID 4.5.
There's another way. I'm not sure if DJB added this feature, but if you can install your MS dash to E:\backup\MS\ than, you can install the Ndure Exploit with SId 4.5 and all you'll do is, backup eeprom, install softmod>ndure>dash, and the dash will be the up to date 5960, and your old dash on C will be deleted.
NOTE: You don't need MS Dash 5960 if you don't plan to install the Ndure Exploit. _________________ Xbox v1.1
