Well I always suggest don't jump into anything unless you understand what you are doing. Maybe reading some of the tutorials might bring you up to speed a little bit.

i just got my xecuter chip. its installed properly on my xbox board.... now i have to flash the bios to the chip... i don't have any cd-rw's , and i don't have a router. i was wondering if i can just load the bios from the harddrive on the xecuter flash bios 3.01 screen??? any tips everyone , Come on DJB , i know ur an expert in this stuff

Expert, I doubt it lol. I'm hopeless at hardware stuff.
You're gonna need one of the BIOS-CDs that are in the AID 3 package to flash your bios. If it's an X3 use the X3 BIOS naturally, and if it's an X2 use the latest X2 BIOS.

well djb im downloading aid 3 right now , so soon as im finished , what do i do then?? is there a tutorial with aid3 or something???

Yes, there is a manual that comes with AID 3 that will tell you what you need.

i don't get it , i used the latest version of Nero , which was Nero 7 something.... i followed the pdf format tutorial to burn the bios to a disc... i even added the mp3 files to the compilation to add more help for xbox to read the disc , but it still didn't work... guess i gotta get a router then or some dvd'rws!!!

It could be just a media problem.. Try using a few different brands of media..
Preferably cdrw or dvd-r.. But heres a database that will help

alright i think you are right bout the media problem thing , so now all i gotta do is search the stores for the right cd/cd'rw for my drive and im all good right??? or are their chances that the cd's still may not work??

dont use CD's.. The chances are very slim that your xbox will read a CDR..
You would be best to use either CDRW or DVD-R..

alright now i got my xbox to read a "imation CD-RW" but now when i go to the part where it says flash from disc or cd , it says my cd-rom label but it then says "no bios update found...HAlting" i guess because it can't read the bios data on the disc. now how do i correct this problem. i tried added media files to the disc , u know so it will help read the data and still same problem.

really its just experimentation if your using CDRW..
I would burn a bios.bin file to a CDRW at the slowest speed possible.
I use Nero normally.. But anything will do.
You dont need to make a XISO of the bios either.. Just burn the bios.bin file onto media as a DATA DISC.
if you cant get it working you may need to find a friend who has a dvd-r burner and get him to whip up a quick dvd-r or buy your own.
