r they able to uprade hdd.thats my main reason for getting one.r they solderless and what have u heard about chameleon chips.

Ok sounds like they can take care of u righ??? like i said dk much bout chips so im gonna leave this 1 out...
im pretty sure u mess up on the pc that is why u get an error... its soo damn easy to upgrade hd man... chips just get u in pain in the ass but that is ur choice...
u wont mess up ur pc just make sure to put ur disc drive to boot first and make the xboxhdm disc with ur C E eeprom.. and burn it once its on disc DO NOT leave it in there.. power pc off take ur pc's hd off then pop new 1 u wanna make and then put the disc in..
( the other 1 u mess up most likely becuz i dont think hotswap messes up pc dude... and i dont think ur gateway is picky .. I think its u that ur scare... but u make the last decision.. chip means no softmod xbox as u NEED to FLASH ur chip IT IS NOT READY .. it has chromewal or somtin like that...
