Your chip is capable of flashing through http. You should be able to access the xbox ip through chip interface. Is that where your getting the ip info? Or are you looking through your pc settings? Dont assume the ip of the xbox. I have made same mistake in past. First step into flashing this way is to confirm correct address. You should without an issue be able to type the ip in IE browser window and bring up chips interface. You will see a blank page if no connection is available..... or eternal "loading" blank screen. The only 2 easons for not getting blue chip screen on boot would be 1:improper install or 2:faulty chip/flash. I would first verify install very carefuly. If improperly installed, pray you didnt fry the chip. If it is in fact installed to 1.6 specs I might suspect chip/fact flash integrity.
And to answer your question of anything to do with 1.6.... It is a bit diff install. did you go with specific 1.6 directions?

Have you done the lpc rebuild as i think this is necessary on a 1.6 box,do you have any lights on the chip or control module ( bank select, chip on off).

Yes there are lights on the chip and it seems like i have it installed right, but for some reason the chip is not reading the information that supposed to be on it.

So, let me get this straight. You can NOT boot your xbox to a blue FLASH BIOS screen? there are instructions on this at Team Xecuter's page. If that doesn't get you going, then something is wrong. I would expect you should be able to do this if you set your boot to bank 2 for SURE. But maybe you've uploaded a bad 1MB Bios (you should ONLY flash 512KB bios' on that chip), which would have wiped out your backup bios...
