You know, I'm all in favor of helping people and stuff, but this thread is RIDICULOUS. 99% of what he is asking questions about is in any one of the many FAQ's and Tutorials online here (as well as the SID 3.0 readme.txt). I'm sorry, and I know we are all noob's at one time or the other, but this is just plain laziness.

its just thta i have read the readmies and many diffrent tutorials but none of them work!
ive tried with both SID 2.0 and SID 3.0 but when i load the linux profile my screen just turns black and stays so until i turn the xobox off/eject the cd

In order to make things as simple as possible, there are some M$ proprietary items in the installer. M$ would be quick to attack any specfic site hosting the auto installer. Hence, folks have taken to putting this excellent piece of software out on bit torrent amoung other locations.

I have softmodded over 5 consoles. Never have i seen or heard of this linux program popping up. Here is what i did step by step. After you have downloaded the AID save game files. (i use the 007 agent under fire) i used action replay to transfer them from my pc to my memory card. now once they are on there i went to the ms dash with my card in my controller. now i go to my memory card where it showes all of the game saves i copy the 007 gamesaves that i transfered earlyer to my xbox hard drive. Now i shut down the machine when they are done transferting. now i boot up my xbox place the 007 cd inside of the console let it boot up without the memory card in the controller. i let the game load up then i choose load game. then load game from xbox hard drive. now if you did it right if you have the right files you will see a UNLEASHX splash screen then the main soft mod menu then go from there. if you happen to get to this screen you have to follow certan steps in order to have a back up of you ms dash as well as making the new dash you are installing which will be EVOX or UNLEASH X. Look at the froms to find these steps i dont know them off the top of my head i need to be looking at the screen. For me i dont have this problem because i have a xbit 1.0 chip in my box. are you sure the SPLINTERCELL game you are using is a ORIGINAL GAME and NOT a platinum version or something??
I believe it has to be a original SPLINTERCELL, maybe that could be the issue.. apart from that we will have to keep going until we figure it out.

They are a bit hard to find at the moment but im working on new section..
heres the softmod install tutorials you want.. Try them all before you start.. See which one you like the most.. Probably the screenshot one..
