You may have done something wrong if you modchip doesnt show the cromwell bios.. Where did you purchase your modchip from again?
bought from console corner. my x box is version 1.0? ive worked on it since super bowl sunday. ive took out and re installed i need to find a tutorial just for the 1.0 and try all over again.

geez your keen unclewilson..!
buying another xbox eh!
I wish i could too.
I would have bought another modchip myself!... Also have a look at the cheap modchips in australia at http://kangamail.com They come flashed ready to go and definately suit all xboxes..
The Modchip i use the ApplexPro only has like 9 wires +a D0 wire.. It can be switched on or off by using the power or eject button so you can still use xbox live..
really cheap in $AUD and kangamail.com (our sponsor) has great delivery times and customer service..
