well i always believe the p2p or downloading was not the problem and finally there is place that tell what rwally is going on @ this site

just to conclude the article, here is what basically they said

recording industary association od america(RIAA) has been losing money not becuase of p2p or illigal downloading but they been losing money becuase of several factors
1.economy: infalation and recision and poor economy is the big picture why they have been losing money
2. there is no more good music and there is lots of manifacure music(MS.Britny and christina agilera, american idols and other BS artist who are there)where is u2 and niravan and preal jam like band. well there are few like white strips and stroke. but not that many

so far music industary wanted to some how take its anger out so they start suing people. and let me tell u dont let those bastered scare u

and my finall msg is, pleasse care about the artist that deserve attention and buy thier cd and dont go buy ur music from supported RIAA store, go buy from amazon or hmv(yes hmv does not do anything with riaa. here are the list of stores u should boycut:
