Hey folks, I've got a couple emulators working on my XBox using SID 5.12. But a couple come up like the attached picture. (This image is DesmumeX.)
I'm running the signal through a Pound XBox to HDMI cable/adapter into an HDMI TV.
I can hear sound/music, and it seems like the cursor moves around. I think it's just the signal. Anything I can do?
The XBox manufacture date is 12/15/2004
The SID installer file I downloaded was Softmod.Installer.Deluxe.v5.12.Final.Xbox-Hq.zip

maybe try just the regular a/v cable cause it might just be a funky cable

^That or maybe supported resolution/regional issue.

I've just tried DesmumeX v0.87 on my AID installed chipped Xbox myself and it works fine at what must be the default 480i/p settings because I haven't touched anything.

There is not enough info provided as regards the settings. Unfortunately the options to change any of them are all on screen. There are settings INIs for three or four things but nothing helpful about what the mostly single digit entries actually means. But there is quite a bit of info in the Readme that should have accompanied the emu.

I'd try with a decent SD cable first and then swapping the Xbox temporarily to 480p only to see if that works if you are set up to use 720p or 1080i normally. The emu does support both the latter resolutions but when you're feeding it through a HDMI converter who knows what the result will be.
