Hello there. I have just modded my original xbox and I would like to know if I can use an USB stick so I can watch movies on xbox media center for instance. Thank you so much.

Pretty sure thats possible somehow. never done it, but eBay should have a cable to conenct your USB stick into the controller ports....
Yeah, I knew that there is a way. But my heart broke when I saw that the USB must be up to 512 mb. Could that be true? Thanks for the quick answer.

The Xbox can support up to 4GBs. You will probably have better luck using an SD card to USB adapter however since the Xbox is notoriously picky about what USB drives it likes.
You cant play games via USB if that is what you are hoping to do. All its really good for is transferring things to the Xbox, from the Xbox (if left in FATX format) and playing movies and music (might only be able to do that with XBMC, not really sure).

If you are using XBMC, you can use the USB flash drive inn FAT 32 format. Then you can transfer the things you want to your flash drive on your PC. Then you plug it into your Xbox and use XBMC's file manager and make sure you use the right side to select the flash drive and then move it to the left side into the folder you would like.
Or you can leave it as FATX and use Xplorer360 to move things to the flash drive on your PC. Then you just use the file manager of your favorite dash to move things to the Xbox. You can also move things from the Xbox to your flash drive using this.
Why you wouldnt just want to FTP is beyond me since the best speeds you can get from the flash drive is around 600 KB/s as opposed to around 12 MB/s via FTP (it does change depending on what you are transferring).
