Ok, I know all the main stuff... Playing games from hard drive and emulators... But I have a few questions.
I can't figure out how to save a game to the hard drive! How do I do that?
And there's a selection on the dash that says: play games from a DVD. What does that mean? Can I put games on a DVD and play them?
And what are some more of the things I can do with a softmod?

Play games from DVD means either normal xbox games on their original disc or burned copies.So yes you can burn games on a dvd and play them on the xbox, but they have to be certain types of DVD's and the game has to be in iso format.Also, with a softmodded xbox, you can use homebrew apps like linkboxs and DVD2XBOX,and homebrew games.What dash do you have?

Yeah, get DVD2XBOX and you can rip xbox games to the drive.
You can do tons of stuff with a softmodded box. I really only use them as front ends to watch movies off my server and play emus from time to time. Seek out some xbmc scripts and you can stream video from the internet...if you like old tv shows there is tons of that stuff out there. I mean the possibilites are about endless.
If you're gonna rip games to the drive, there really is no point unless you toss a bigger one in it.

Softmod, or modchip not matter which you can do the same stuff.
Just when it comes time to fix or rebuild/upgrade a hdd on a xbox with a modchip its much easier.. _________________ HQ Network:
