Hi. I'd like to display my computer screen on my tv using my softmodded xbox 1. I figure there must be some way to do this, whether to use some kind of video mirror/extender software on the xbox, or even to install some variant of linux on the xbox and use some linux software to extent the video from the pc. Any ideas?

I would be surprised if I was the first person who ever tried to do this, so I figure there mgiht be some solutions out there.

Thanks,
Jeff

I don't know...I know that there is some linux software that can do a remote control on another linux box as long as you have it installed on both boxes...can't remember what its called tho...I'll look around a little bit...but as far as controlling a windows pc that way from linux, I've never heard of it, but I'll look around for ya.

I'm only trying to get the windows display on the tv. I will still use windows keyboard/mouse to control it. I know I could just get a DVI-HDMI cable and plug the computer straight into the tv, but the cable would have to be 100 feet long. That's why i'm trying to extend the display through the xbox.
