I read the tutorial and I thought I would have seen in there, that I can go and put it on a double layer dvd-r, but it didn't. Will a double layer dvd-r work to put my backed up copy of splinter cell. I did read something about removing all the files ending in w.xmv and you can still play the game. Is this correct? I've already made alot of coasters, so I didn't want to waste anymore disks to find out.
TIA

I have the Samsung drive. I was going to just go in a bit to buy some double layers, since it seems that's the only way to go. Is it?
thanks,

I dont know I have over 40 games and I have backed up every one of the with dvd-r discs. Some games were to large to fit but there is always some stuff you can delete to make it fit that wont effect the game. I dont know what splinter cell you are trying to burn but check out this link http://www.balugabutt.com/xoops/search.php?query=splinter+cell&action=results&mids%5B%5D=23 it has the deletions for Splinter cell.

Look for language files and delete whatever you won't use _________________

So far,(after quite a few coasters, I've been able to backup my Rainbow six, and Half life 2, and they work perfect! I use the Craxtion to ftp from my samsung dvd drive to my laptop, and use it to patch and create iso, then I use dvd decrypter at 2x to burn. I had some problems at first after I started trying the backed up copies that didn't work or had problems, but I did some reading and when and cleared the cache file, and now I don't have xbmc freezing or my videos. I also had problems with my originals, but took a look at them and they looked pretty dirty, so I cleaned them, and now I don't have problems with those either. Well, so far, Splinter Cell is the only one that has been over the gig limit. Now I read that article and what does it mean movie replacement?
Thanks so much guys! Boy this has been one cool learning experience for me and I'm so addicted to my XBMC, it's not even funny...lol...I have to remind myself that I have a xbox 360 in the living room.
Thanks again,

you basically change the cinimatic videos to a differnt size so you dont comprimise the game. _________________

Well, I understood it as I delete those 2 files-
Movie Replacements:
Default\Videos\credits.bik
Default\Videos\teaser.bik
So I went ahead and deleted them. Under each category it was showing all the things to delete and those two were under Movie replacements, so I deleted them. I'm making the iso now from my backed up files now, so I will see soon if it worked.
Thanks you guys!

You guys are the best and so awesome!!!!.... If I was a guy I'd have a hard****, but instead I'm all wet between the ******!!!.....I really worked. I now have a good backed up copy of my game. I was wondering, can I back up my 360 games and play them on my xbox? For now, I don't want to mod my xbox 360, paid too much money for it Probably a dumb question, but it never hurts to ask.
Thanks again you guys
