I am a total noob to softmodding and am now pulling my hair out with the game save exploits, i have downloded the exploit (installer deluxe v2.0), used flashfxp to transfer to memory card (modded xbox), but when i try to transfer to my hdd of the unmodded xbox it won't let me copy from the memory card. The only option i have is delete. I have also tried copying from my memory card to the modded xbox and its still the same. Do i have a crap memory card, Somebody please help[/b]

Couple things:
Aid 2.0 is outdated, I recommend updating to 3.1
As for copying the save, you have to select the actual save, not the game title. so hit right on the d-pad to highlight the save and then hit a to copy _________________ Hotswap|HDD Upgrade|X3 Guide

thanks for the advice, i'm sure i have already tried highlighting the save and still had the same option of delete only, but i will try again.

well here i am again, i managed to copy the exploit to the hdd and could almost taste victory, but at the last moment it was stolen away from me, i tried this time using the splinter cell exloit, got the point when you select linux and then select check points, this is where the screen is supposed to go black for ten seconds, well not on my xbox it shows a service error with 21 in the corner, any suggestions????????

Do you have both the gamesave for splintercell as well as the installer gamesave? there should have been 2 total, assuming your using SID3.1+ _________________ Hotswap|HDD Upgrade|X3 Guide

both parts copied as per instructions, unfortunately i do not have sid 3.1 only have auto installer v2.0 and v3.0 tried both on splinter cell and both have the same error. i do have softmod installer deluxe 4.5 Nknave edition which i have not tried yet. Help tried the sid 4.5 file copied to hdd no probs, but still comes up with service error and 21 in top left hand corner of the screen, power led is is flashing orange and green aswell after 20 seconds the joypad starts vibrating any ideas?????????

AID is not a way to softmod. It is a disc used to install programs, emulator, etc.
SID is a softmod. If your using 4.5 try deleting all the save for SId and copy them back. _________________ Hotswap|HDD Upgrade|X3 Guide

sorry i said it was aid i did mean sid, when i transfer the game save to the memory card and open it for copying to the hdd it does say sid 3 or sid 4.5 and also in the splinter cell game it does see it as linux, i tried sid 3 first no luck cleared the memory card and hdd of both the saves and then tried sid 4.5 still the same error, i have another xbox at my brother in-laws i am going to to get that back off him today and try the sid 3 and 4.5 on that one, not sure what version it is, thanks for the help so far

did u get sid with evox raincoat? cuz thats to tsop. i know from experience that that will bring up the error screen cuz i didnt have the wires done right on my friends xbox. try deleting the gamesaves off ur hdd and getting new ones from xbins and try again. make sure that u grab the right exploit tho _________________

thanks for the reply , the files i have downloaded for sid 3.0 and 4.5 are all auf files i do have a file which has the evox raincoat in it but it does have a read me doc inside which states that if you no nothing about tsop do not continue, so i didn't. sid 3.0 and 4.5 are in folders named: softmod installer deluxe v3.0 . www.xbox-hq.com

Your in the right place for it for sure.
What version of SC do you have? I doubt it would cause this, but it might.
Check what dash you have currently. If you boot to MSdash, its under settings then system info. See the attached image.
If its not 5960, you may want to put a copy of Halo 2 into the xbox. This should udpate the dash files to 5960.

its good to know that i'm on the right track, but it is thanks to you guys. just double checked the dash version and it is 5960, i have tom clancy's splinter cell the original not the classic and also the same for james bond agent under fire.
